Hidden in the middle of a huge warehouse site is a 3 storey mixed-use training venue.  It had been 'forgotten' for many years: it was tired, dusty and a final destination for all the old furniture; the onsite delivery team felt 'unloved'.

 

The brief was to raise the site to a standard fitting of the company, the quality of the training and the expectations of the onsite team and delegates.

 

After speaking to staff, delegates and others sharing the site a plan was worked that would take away the dirty and boring long, white walls, the old cabinets lining the corridors and stairwells, the kettle and coffee powder in the corner of the office, the feeling of disconnected space.  The team were brought in to paint, furnish, restructure, soundproof, and make secure each of the eight rooms. Of course budget is always a consideration and although the original IT kit and tables had to stay overall we were able to create a self contained training suite of the highest quality, with a clear identity from the rest of the warehouse site.

 

With bright and colourful graphics and signposting, comfortable, modern furnishings, and a new kitchenette, office, IT and leadership training rooms, this site is now a joy to visit for everyone.
